Shuffling the cards …
Eleven games, one place. Here are the rules for every game at Tavern Jack – from Mau-Mau, the easy one, through Durak and Hearts for tacticians to the dice game Liar’s Dice, plus Solitaire, FreeCell, Spider and Scoundrel for when you’re on your own. Every game is free to play right in your browser: with friends via a link, with people from anywhere or against computer opponents.
The bartender says: Forgot the rules? Every game has a practice round with me.
Two to eight players – Homies, our computer opponents in three levels, fill any empty seats.
Patience games and a dungeon for one – each with a daily challenge that’s the same for everyone, plus a leaderboard.
At Tavern Jack, Durak, Mau-Mau, Thirty-One, Shithead and the dice game Liar’s Dice all work with two. President and Hearts need at least three – Homies fill the empty seats. Solitaire, FreeCell, Spider and Scoundrel are solo games anyway.
Mau-Mau, Shithead, President, Hearts, Solitaire and FreeCell use all 52 cards. Durak uses 36 (6 through Ace), Thirty-One 32 (7 through Ace), Scoundrel 44 and Spider two decks (104 cards) – Tavern Jack sorts out the right cards automatically.
Every multiplayer game, yes: create a room, send the link, done – no sign-up, no app. Solitaire, FreeCell, Spider and Scoundrel are solo games, but in the daily game everyone gets the same cards and the leaderboard shows how you did.
Yes. Every game is free – no sign-up, no download and no in-game purchases.
